Change Projects
Use the Change Projects function to change the customer ID, project type, billable, fixed fee, speculative, and status values for a project/task.
The Change Projects function will allow you to change the type of the project. You can change from one of the types (administrative, general, job cost) to one of the available project types. When you change the project type, all tasks and phases will also change to that type. You can also move a project from one customer to a different customer, or if you have no customer assigned, assign it to a customer. You can change the Billable, Speculative, and Fixed Fee check boxes for projects. You also will be able to change the status of the project.
If you move a project at the project level to a different customer, the tasks and phases within the project are also automatically moved to the new customer.
- Select the project/task for which to change from the Project/Task field. The phase code, customer ID, project type, billable, fixed fee, speculative, and status values appear if applicable.
- Edit any changes in the New Value field. The Notes field shows 'OK' if the changes are successful and shows explanations if the changes are not successful.
